Picking the right one gets a faster answer, and every address below receives mail.
Editorial and corrections
Anything factually wrong on a page, particularly a figure. A wrong figure means either the record or the computation is wrong, and both matter.
Pitches from writers, and questions about how something here was measured.
Sponsorship and commercial
Underwriting a section or a period, and anything about rates, placement or terms.
Note that sponsorship buys adjacency and never influence; what it cannot buy is listed on its own page.
Data and research
Access to the archive as a dataset, commissioned analysis, and academic use.
Say what you are trying to establish. Questions the record cannot answer get told so, which saves everyone the time.
Privacy and legal
Data protection requests, and anything covered by the privacy policy or the terms of use.
Requests about what is held, and requests to remove it.
We aim to reply within three working days. That is a target rather than a guarantee: this is a small operation and nobody is on call.
Who publishes this
The Cyber Security Place is published by TCSP LLC, incorporated in Delaware, United States.
The terms of use are governed by the laws of that state, and the privacy policy describes what is held about visitors — which is very little, because the site sets no advertising or analytics scripts and loads nothing from a third-party domain.
Corrections
Errors are corrected on the page where they appeared, with the correction described rather than applied silently. A correction nobody can see is not a correction.
Figures are the ones worth reporting hardest. Every number here is computed at build time from the archive rather than typed, so a wrong figure indicates a fault in the record or in the computation, and both are worth fixing at the source instead of on one page. How this site checks itself explains what that means and lists the defects already known.
One conclusion has been withdrawn since these pages were written, and the page that carried it says so.
Other things people ask for
Writing for the site. The standard, and what is not for sale, are on the contributor page. Read it before pitching; it will save you a message if what you have in mind is a placement.
Removing an archived item. Write to the privacy address with the address of the page. Items are attributed to the publication that produced them and link back to it.
The archive as data. The research address. It is available with its documented limitations attached, which is the only way it should travel.
