May 25th, 2018 is a date that will forever be etched in history as day when the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was finally implemented. Many assumed it would lead to the world ending but alas, the earth is still turning. To summarize, the law was passed to sufficiently address how organizations make use of the data they collect on each citizen/consumer with a view to protect the personal information of individuals in the EU.
